The wife and I have 24 hours to kill in your lovely city prior to getting on the boat for our cruise, any recommendations on sights to see?  I believe we're headed to Grouse (sp?) mountain, staying at a hotel downtown.  Restaurant recommendations, etc. etc. would be appreciated too!

Thanks  :)

was there for a day but we ate at America Town (Burger King)  .  When i was there breifly i just drove around and admired the city.  I was amazed at how clean everything was, not like most big cities i've seen in the states.  Have fun and enjoy the Cruise.

Either that or you could come to Seattle and see what Vancouver is like on a small scale.

Seattle is pretty close to the top of my "cities to visit" list.  I love the Pacific northwest, and hope to move there one day.  I have family in Oregon and always love visiting.

Big fan of gray sky, rain, and dark at 4:30? :dunno:

Whistler is an easy 1h.45 minute ride north of Vancouver along the same road which you take for the ferry northern route (Horseshoe Bay) the other ferry route is south to Tsawassen for Victoria. ANyway.....the road to Whistler is a good ride, but leave time for probable road-work stops.
Whistler Village is the place for lunch and walking about.
Just did the run last Sunday and the road is in good shape. Watch for RCMpolice 25 clicks north of Squamish. The scenery is even better coming back.
PM me if you need more.
We don't really know what we're doing and even when we do, it doesn't seem to help. Bono

Only in the winter is in reference to the 4:30 darkness.....

Whistler is great as well. Remember that the sea to sky highway
is under construction. It is one of the more heavily used motorcycle
routes as well.
