Well today I decided to do a tune up on the bike which has like 1400 miles now. So I got a new air filter, oil filter, oil, and spark plugs. After I was done it got nice and cloudy so I went out for a ride and this punk in a pontiac grand prix with a hood scoop and i think he had a super charger was harassing me for a while so we got to a stop sign and he called me a biker kitty cat or something like that so I revved up and wee took off at the same time I just dropped the clutch and the front came up for a seccond and went down  :o  well I beat that punk pretty good. HA HA we got up to like 65 before he backed off for a curve i just kept going. Man I hate people who talk shaZam! just to look cool or something well I put him in his place and I guess his girlfriend was not to proud of his loss. Well I hope you liked my badly written story. Have you guys had similar things happen?

I like to let them think they are beating me and then blow by them.  They usually back off real quick.

If you have a place that's known to you and known to have good visibility from previous runs and little surveillance... it can be entertaining to let them go by, then crank it so that when you pass, you are going much, much faster.  But because of the previous two conditions, it's a rare pleasure - and I only do it if there's a third condition - the guy is really, really asking for it.  99% of the time, I let them go by, and they serve as good cop bait.

A friend of mine has a M3 LTW (I posted a pic of it once).  It really is a look-at-me car, as it's a dedicated track car.  She knows the guy who had it beforehand, and he was once at a light when the guy on the sportbike next to him started to rev as if he wanted to race.  Light turns green, guy pops a wheelie and promptly dumps it.  LTW driver can hardly drive off for laughing.

So, if you're trying to impress, you typically end up looking like an ass, one way or another. :)

get a 15t sprocket and you'll smoke almost every car on the road off teh line...

Ya I usually only run into these freaks when I leave work at 5:30 in the morning on the roads I travel all the time.  I have the road memorized for all bumps, holes, etc.  If the roads are slick or dewy I don't do it.  I seriously only do it when they are asking for it and the coast is clear. Oh and this is about shift change for the cops so they really aren't interested in giving me a ticket.  They are usually more interested in the prostitutes lining the road anyway.

Be careful popping that clutch.  Its one of the things that I'm afraid of trying on my bike.

Had I been in your place, I would have probably revved the bike engine and then let the guy take off without me.  Unless he's grossly uninformed and/or retarded, he should know that unless he's got a car that costs the same amount that your folks have left on their mortgage... then there's no way he'll outaccelerate a bike off the line.

IMO, life is too sweet and too short to waste obliging the ignorant.

I mean im not even looking for a race I was just crusing around trying to take turns harder and faster until this jerk ruined my fun. I almost went pee in my pants after the front lifted. I didnt think the gs would do a wheely that quick.

I'm too much of a kitty cat to race but I woulda flipped into neutral, hopefully without him noticing, and revved like mad, then when the light turned green I woulda twisted the throttle harrrdd... then let up, flipped into first and leisurly driven away.
