in 18 days I leave for airforce BMT in texas. then 6 weeks later I leave for MD for my tech school.  A total of 5 months from sept 13th and I will be bringing home another bike. I can't have a car on base at my tech school for awhile so when I graduate from tech school I will be buying another motorcycle to ride home while I ship all my gear home.  Right now the two top choices are the susuki SV1000 or the Buell LIghtning XB12 . I will be buying a used bike though. when I get back and start working more and more in the machine shop on base, I hope to fabricate some new pegs for the gs and lots of other nifty peices. I already got to make a metal decal plate to put my base decals on. my MSGT rides motorcycles aswell and lets me use the shop for anything my heart desires. the gs will then be torn down and powder coated 100% black.  just thought Id let everyone know that I wont be around for atleast another 5 months, and that im super excited for what the future brings my way.

Allright! Good training that can be used in the real world! We'll miss you, but you'll only be busy for 5 months. I suggest the SV to ride home, because it will be more comfortable.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

thanks! and you are right, the training I will recieve can help land me a good job, but I will be going back to school for engineering, most likely in the aerospace field.  Im going to miss riding my bike though and all the fun sites of fall :( .
