I was riding home from walmart this evening around 10:30. Getting ready to pull into my driveway about a half a block away and this jerk who had been up my ass for 3 blocks swerves around me and passes me at about 50 in a 35 zone residential nonetheless! I turned my signal off and gave chase to get his tag but he was flyin' I caught up to him easily enough (had to sit at stop sign for a car to pass) and he turned into a parking lot. I
Drove down to an abandonded gas station and called the cops. Then they whip out right in front of me and I was able to get the tag number. I got home and realized they would be able to figure out which house was mine!
I tend to get a little paranoid, what should I do?
It's jerks like that who hurt people.

If you got the tag number and called the cops, you should be fine. How far away did you have to chase him to? Also, did you turn into your driveway? He might have been assuming you were signalling to let him pass (even if he was a total ass about everything). No matter what, calling the cops and giving them his plate number is your best option.

I wouldn't worry about it. Most people who drive like that are full of sh@t anyway. They can only drive fast in a straight line, come to a corner and they get scared.

Ok, he sounds like a jerk, but what are the cops going to do?  I feel like I see 4-5 of these guys every day.  50 is a 35?  I'm sure I'm done worse than that.  I say let it go...

I doubt the cops will be able to do much about it, since they did not see it. In NY, what they often do if someone calls in an eratic driver like that is look for them and pull them over and run their license, insurance, etc. and make sure everything checks out alright. They kinda make sure they haven't been drinking while intoxicated, that sort of thing. But if he isn't doing anything wrong when the cop pulls him over, and he is sober and all of his paperwork checks out, he goes free. You can't get a ticket for being a jackass unless the cop observes you personally.

As for him knowing where you live, I wouldn't worry much. You might get some burning dogpoop in a bag or some toilet paper thrown at your vehicles if he is immature, but even thats unlikely.

Don't worry about it. 99.9% of the time it is over after the initial a$$holyness. Those are my own stats by the way. This kind of stuff happens quite a bit when you are toolin' around on a moped. I know, hard to believe. usuaally I get screwed with and I never see the arse again. There are just morons out there, what can you do  :guns: .....lol
