My b.f. took it up to 100 mph a couple years ago, and right after that it started blowing oil all over my lower legs. Ick. I replaced the head gasket and now it's great - not a drop of oil leaking from anywhere. May have been an unrelated incident, but I still like to blame him for the head gasket replacement.

Well, I won't tell him, but the gasket was probably showing other signs at that point if it was ready to blow from just the pressure at high revs.  That's why I like to keep my engines clean - it's not that I'm so anal about the-bike-must-be-clean, but if a trickle appears, I want to know it.  

I've had my '00 over 100.  Of course, the speedo gets optimistic, but I'm fairly confident that I at least got that high.  Not a single problem.  And in retrospect, I'm damn lucky that I didn't have the blue-lights problem.  I keep it legal these days.  But the GS will take it.
