used tires

I bought a used Dunlop 207r GP tire off ebay last week. It arrived thusrday. None of the local shops will put it on for me. I have a friend who runs a tire shop who can put in on for me. My question is this- would you ever consider running a used tire on a motorcycle? it is a good tire, with alot of tread and no weather cracks, where as my current front tire is worn AND cracked and I don't have 130 for a new tire. comments?

I know its not the answer your looking for... but... you dont have to pay dealer prices to get new tires... i got 130/70-17 and 110/70-17  avon AM51/52 tires online for $125 after shipping!
