I'm replacing my swingarm and was wondering about the etched lines on the swingarm. Which line should the notch on the nut line up with?

Are you asking about the notched nut (castle nut) or the notch on clip of the axle/tensioner assembly.

The stamped/etched lines on the end of the swing arm are there as an alignment tool. As your chain stretches due to use, you must adjust the tension. It is possible to get a properly tensioned chain, but a misaligned rear wheel. Set each notch to the same line on each side of the swing arm and your wheel should be square with the swing arm pivot axis.

This assumes that you have assembled the rear axle and swing arm assembly properly so that the notch in the clip is UP and referencing the stamped lines of the swing arm.

The castle nut notch does not matter. The nut should be torqued to spec and then aligned to the next notch that allows a cotter pin to pass through the hole in the axle.

Good Luck and let us know how you fare.
