I was recently moved to a new group...  Well...  My old group was cut in half and merged to two other groups...

So, of course, I have to be added to 5,000 new email aliases.  Which is not a big deal, just set up some filters for the BS mails that you get 25 times a day and move on right?

Wrong...

For some reason, the other half of our group feels the need to send out spam emails to every single alias about every single thing that goes on in this group and any other group remotely connected to it.  I was getting LITERALLY 450 automated emails a day about NOTHING!!!!

So...  Our group managed to get that sorted out...  But, the other half of the group still insists on spaming the whole group for questions that are aimed at one or two people...  THEN!!!  They ALL reply to ALL, ALL the time.  So...  My email notification is still going off every 35 seconds or so.

Now, I know you'll tell me to ignore it or turn it off, but I can't...  I need to be able to react to the emails that are actually directed at me as fast as I can.

I just don't get why they ALL have to reply to ALL every single friggen time...  I have about 1,000 emails that have nothing to do with me or 90% of the group...  About half of those are "Thanks" or "No Problem" or whatever other stupid BS reply that they don't even need to send in the first place.

why not setup a yahoo groups acct? or a list server..

Well...  For one we have to use the work server...

For two... These friggen idiots would abuse whatever list we gave them.  They're spam happy, reply all, useless reply, gizbags!

spam them back with multiple emails...I mean MULTIPLE. They might get the message.

I doubt it...  You should see these emails...  Totally pointless crap (for 95% of the group).
