My Joe Rocket Meteor kept me warm and dry last year.  But my overpants were only water-resistant, not waterproof, and I had yer typical women's waterproof gloves - might as well have been ski gloves.  So with the first cold rain of fall coming on today, I went ahead and ordered Moto GP Alpine pants and Cortech Cold Front Carbon gloves.  The latter were the only gloves I could find that were waterproof, had armor, and fit me.  :p  There was a set of waterproof Alpinestars that the parts dude at Aurora Suzuki recommended, but they only come as small as S, and that's too big for me.  Cortech makes XS.

I'll post a list in the morning.

5'1".  My labmate is 5' and says she's 5'1", but I'm a skosh taller than her.

Mk1inCali

Wow.

That's amazing, 5'1 vs 6'6" (me).

Labmate, biochem?  Cloner?

Work.  Probably soon to be school again.

My former PI left, and since I didn't want to move to Texas, I left with my Master's.  My current PI is willing to sponsor me to finish my doctorate, so I'm applying to MCB.

That company-speak doesn't really make any sense to me, but I wish you the best of luck in your higher edu endeavors.

Smart women are hot, there are no other ways to say it.

That doesn't seem to be the general consensus...

The army of the dumb has a large hand in the media promoting it's ways and habits.

Unfortunately, you are right, it's very evident to me here in Cali compared to Minnesota, the schools and girls were way higher-level there.  My little bro (still in HS) is definitely suffering the effects, unknown to him, of course.

(This is not a slag on the actual USA Army or any military forces in any way.)

And why not?? The riding season lasts for at least 8 months out of the year, you never have to worry about being cold, and even the winters could be included as "riding season" if you have non-perforated gear/warm clothing underneath.

Plus, Austin is awesome.

lid:  same Vega monttery xkj  (sp)
polyproplene helmet liner, polypro neck gator

body: aerostich full suit
several ploy-pro layers and usually a fleece pull over.

gloves:
dry weather; alpinestars sp2 poly-pro glove liners
wet weather; leather touring gloves with poly-pro/ wool liners

boots: same unlinned standard issue leatehr ones, wool socks.

notes; this set up is good to about 32* at interstate speeds, I don't reccomend riding at interstate speeds when ice is a factor though as your reaction times reduced siginifactly.  wearing steel toes, your toes will freeze nomatter what socks you wear, I don't reccomend them.
