Melted front fender

You would think that after building the the gs500 for so many years that Suzuki quality control would have fixed this problem along time ago. There is probably many more melted fenders out there that could have been saved, including mine.

Maybe this is a common thing to the melt too...

Has anyone had one melted that didn't have the  mudflap thing on it??

Mine was melted when I bought it. 99 gs. Someone here told me if I am going to replace, ALWAYS park the bike with the wheel turned to the left. During riding, I don't think the heat hurts the fender. It is after the engine is hot and you park it. Oh, well. I am just going to live with it as is. No dinero for parts right now. when I do have some cash, I want a windshield instead. It is starting to get a little cool @ 6 am where I live.

My 98 GS came with the melted fender mod.  Previous owner said while he was in the marines, his father would run the bike every now and again and left it idling too long once.

I just bought a 2004 GS500F Blue two months ago, and I just noticed that the front fender has some heat rash on the back too.  I just hit the 3K mile mark last week.

Anybody got a good black front fender for sale?  No heat damage...
