Hose routing

My friend just bought a 91.  It is a pretty nice bike, but it needs some work.  It clicks pretty loud from the engine, so we figured it was teh cam chain tensioner.  We tried winding it, but it didnt do any good, so he is just gonna buy a new one.   There is some good info in here!   Anyways, the hoses on this thing are a mess.  I searched pretty good, but i am still unclear.  Is there a diagram of the hose routing for the carbs?  I couldnt find one.

We took it apart and found that it is set up pretty bad.  From the tank, two lines come straight down into a Y connector, and then the hose goes into the bottem tee on the carbs.  There is no operatable petcock,(beside the tank one which is a PITA).  Also, the is no hose on the top tee and i couldn't see where it should go to.  Then on each carb, there should be a hose coming off them, but there is one that is bocked off with a screw, and the other carb is missing the hose completly.  What are these hoses and where should they go?

We put it back together and it runs decent, but it keeps wanting to bump the idle up really high, like to 3-4 grand, and then it will come back down.  It acts like the choke is on.  Which the choke cable is gone too.  Could that be the problem?
Again, i did try searching, but feel free to flame along with the info! :guns:
