Alright my GS500F is approximately a month old. Today I went to a gas station and put my foot down on oil and slipped and dropped the bike on it's left side. It didn't hit real hard and there's not even any visible damage on the plastic, but now I noticed that my handle bars will move up and down if I apply pressure. I tried to locate where to tighten them but the only nuts I found that looked they were related to my problem were already incredibly tight. Did I break something?

How much do they move up and down?  Are they turning in the clamps?  or are the bars and the mount moving together?  The handlebar mount is rubber mounted to the triple clamps so some movement is normal ... say about 1/8 of an inch.

They're moving probably about 3" or 4". It seems that they are moving in the clamps. There is a nut directly underneath the clamps, I assume that is where the adjustments are made, but they are already very solid.

The bolts are on the clamps.  Use a small screwdriver to pop off the caps over the bolts.  I would suggest loosen the bolts then position the bars and retighten them evenly.  Careful not to break a bolt off.  If they are still loose wrap some aluminum foil around the bar where the clamps are and then tighten them down...should only take two or three wraps at the most.  Trim excess with a exacto or utility knife when finished.

Excellent, I tightened them and now they're solid. Thanks!!!
