i was just wondering if anyone had any info to offer. I was shocked to discover that my front right shock is leaking oil. i don't know how long it's been  because i just noticed it two days ago. Is this an expensive problem if i take it to a shop.

Also (im such a dumb ass) would my warranty cover this.  I bought the bike 3 months ago brand new and no one mentioned anything about a warranty except the one the dealership was trying to sell me. i didn't buy that one. Since i bought the bike brand new does it have a warranty from suzuki? Anyone know?

Also (i should kill myself) i laid the bike down about a month ago pretty hard. If i did have a warranty from suzuki is it now void. their is a small yet noticable crack in the fairing so could i just lie or something. Has anyone lied about something like that?

if anyone could offer some insight i would really appreciate it thnks!

that search helped a ton but im still puzzled about warranty, dealership and lying to dealerships/suzuki.

Brand new bikes have a 1-year limited warranty.  Lying is on your head.  If you went down hard enough to crack the fairing and break the seal, your forks might be gently tweaked, and there will certainly be signs on your signal and bar-end.

if they find out your hiding putting her down you have no chance of getting it warrentied.. best advice ride it to a shop, show them the fork that the seals are busted and ask them if they can do the work warrenty.

If not tell them to order you seals and get some fork oil (optionnal) and get someone who knows bikes to help you change them... it would make for a pretty cheap job by yourself.

its quite likely that when you went down there might have been some dirt or debris that got in the seal and caused it to leak. This exact thing happened to a friend of mine when he lightly tossed his new 600rr into the dirt along the roadside. He replaced all the bodywork THEN went to the dealer and got it replaced under warranty. If you play dumb you might get away with it but be warned-dealerships dont like doing waranty work and they'll look for a way to get out of it. Your body damage will be clear signs that fork seal could have been accident related. I think your chances are slim.
