Anyone running an Yosh RS3 slip on?

On stock pipes I mean.

I've been meaning to ask since I started looking for exhausts.

I've searched the old posts and it appears some of you may be.

From some of the posts I've read it seems like you can run just about anything that you can hook up to the pipes!

Or would that be going too far?

On any bike, you can run anything you can hook up.   :dunno:

Whether it's a good idea or not is another matter.

I just knew there would be qualifications to that.

Question is what to run. Or what not to run.

one of those pipes costs more than my 90 gs.

dbarile

Yes, they aren't cheap anywhere I've looked.

If it were an appearance thing I wouldn't bother, but I'd like to see what kinda boost the exhaust gives the bike. I'm not expecting great gains but perhaps a mild\moderate increase.

I guess if it dissapoints I can also sell the yosh and put the stock back on.

just go to a local junk yard and see what you can find that's not beat up that bad.    but no mater what, with a tuned exaust and a intake tuned for that exaust, your not going to brake the 50 hp line.

i was actually just about to start a topic on this subject

i just got my bike back from the shop today...had a rs3 carbon fiber put on and man oh man is it f*#*in sweet!!!!!!!!  The sound gave me a hard on
And the sound when your 'engine braking' or braking a little is like watching Corser coming around turn 3 on tv.

Performance wise there is a minimal gain...mainly noticed between 3000-5500rpm. Off the line you will definetly notice something. Im guessing there would be more noticable gain if you get a K&N too

definely worth it in my books...

So how much louder is the RS3 compared to stock.

Is it wake up the neighbors loud or more understated?

I have an rs3 stainless on my bike.  It is pretty loud but not untill you rev it to higher rpms.  If you ride sensible you wont have a problem with the pipe.  You can put a carbon fiber pipe on and it will mellow it out alittle and make it quieter I think, but I am not sure.  the pipe is alot louder than stock but the neighbors wont complain.  I have pics in the wall of fame.

dbarile

Cool...I was looking at the stainless. Nothing like a bright silver pipe.
