In fact I'm going to try it when I get the chance. Bodyflight, vertical wind tunnel flying. :thumb:  :thumb:  :thumb:

No need to jump out of a perfectly good airplane to fly.

Click on "13 Tunnelrats playing together at AAC" for a cool vid.

It's too bad the Arizona version is enclosed instead of outside like the one in the above video.

I'd do it! I don't see one for New York area though?  :dunno:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

One close enought to me.  It's dang pricy though at $10 a minute :o

calamari

that's nothing. the california one is priced at $25 per minute, and you have to buy $50 at least (2 min).
Caturday yet?

I agree on the pricing being nuts. In Arizona it's $50 for a minute. On their website they say that equates to the minute of freefall you would have from a plane. I assume more competition will bring the price down. The open L1 version at the Appalachian Amusement Center is $150 for 15 minutes and they mention sharing a block of time. It sounds like the cost can perhaps be shared with multiple flyers. The outdoor L1 version looks like the most fun. Hopefully this technology will spread.

There's one opening up in Houston in '06 with pricing at $135 for 15 min and better prices as you go up in time. The one-hour time block is something like $340, and it can be shared. Split that up between a couple of friends and there is a fairly good deal. I'm definitely going to consider going there.
