In G.B. (and maybe other places over seas) they restrict the power on bikes for newer riders, you are in US right? US does not restrict power like that. In other words, it wont do anything for you here.

I've never heard of the thing before.. sounds like it overrides a rev limitter.. which would be after 11grand?  wouldnt the valves just float at that point?

No, In Great Britain they have to put a restrictor plate of some kind in the engine to cut the horsepower down until they pass a test or something to get an unrestricted licence.

Hopefully someone from there will chime in and clarify it better.

I still bet it's a load of crap. Even if there is a restrictor plate on bikes in Great Britain, the GS probably doesn't qualify for it. I mean, come on. 40 freakin' horsepower. Sure it's got some oomph, but are the laws that strict there?

The GS doesn't have a rev limiter, either. It's too cheap for THAT! :lol:

even the GS produces too much for the entry level permits 33hp , it gets restrictd via the carbs.  this box here is to change the timing in certin RPM ranges, kinda like TRE mod
