Do any of you NE gs-ers ever go to the americade in lake george, NY?  I used to go all the time when i was a kid to check out the bikes, and im def goin next summer.  I missed it this year becuase i moved to PA, and didnt get my gs till it was over. Let me know if any of you want to meet up next summer in Lake George.

When is this? I will be vacationing in Lake George, NY next summer with my family.

Meet in Allentown PA [kmart, someone tell me where that is agian?]
North on rt 309 up to Hazelton PA.
SW on rt. 209
North on rt 61
Interstate 81 West till Swatana State Park
Back on 209 this time east
South on rt 895
That will put us on I-78. This is the critical time to either head West for more enjoyment or East back to Allentown

Yup, I am familiar with the roads you mentioned... been on most of them often.

Meet in Allentown PA [kmart, someone tell me where that is agian?]
KMART: 4701 West Tilghman Street, Allentown, PA 18104 (MAPQUEST IT)

North on rt 309 up to Hazelton PA. (I live very close to 309.)

SW on rt. 209 (Takes you to Beltzville Lake... some of us have been there before.)  

North on rt 61 (Cabelas is on 61... not the best road to ride on though, but it takes you to 895 which is a really fun road to ride.)

Interstate 81 West till Swatana State Park (Never been to this park but sounds like a good idea. I'm sure we could find it.)

Back on 209 this time east (I know a few different ways "home" (back to Allentown) from 209. For those that don't want to go back to 895, the Turnpike is in Lehighton, off 209, depending where people want to go. (If they want to head home or not for anyone from the North.)

South on rt 895
That will put us on I-78.

your also now the amusement park specialist youve just been voted in  As you know Hershey Park just out side this "traveling loop" and I'm sure there must be something over/in/around Allentown. Any other points of intrest?

Who me??  :dunno:  Last time I tried to organize this, it didn't work out to well, lol. Hershey Park is only about 45 min. to an hour from me. There's also Dorney Park (in Allentown) here. Depends where everyone wants to ride to... there's Great Adventure in NJ too. Doesn't matter to me where we go... as long as we go this time.

Hey, Where in PA are you?  Im in Towson, MD.  I rode up to York, PA through the Prettyboy Falls area last sunday.  I'd be game for a ride this saturday morning. I cant make a all day-er out of it because i gotta be back home around 4pm to work at 5.  If you wanted to come down my way, we could head over into some of the resivours west of I-83, inbetween Towson, MD and York, PA.  Lemme know if you're interested.  This goes for anyone else in the area too.

As for future rides, Im game.  Just let me know what's going on and i'll try to plan accordingly.  I know Jace will like to see his former bike logging some miles

*sniff sniff* ya I sort of miss the old GS but she's in good hands. I take it not troubles other than the gas incident...  wow up to York PA is just past my house...Give or take. but ya as soon as I get my bike all back together I'lll be out riding every weekend if it's not snowing. Are you at Towson State University? Cool beans if you get up this way again I highly recomend rt.64 and 77 up through Thurmont/emmitsburg through Cunningham State Park. The longest section of straight roads is about 8ft.

I was just kidding about that...unless you want. I personaly have never ventured past Harrisonburg. So it's all good to me. I'm for any adventure park, camping, or making this a 2-3 day trip:) Or going all the way up to New York.

Yea Im at Towson University.  No other problems other than someone tipping it over while it was parked on campus  :x   It broke the bar end off so i've gotta get a new one.  I need to get some new gear before i venture too much further than i have.  My hands and legs got rather cold after a couple hours.

I am up for practically anything. A 2 day camping / group ride would be excellent, I am still working on some ideas I'll post later to throw out to the community. I am also up for helping organize and do what needs to be done to help make this a possibility   .

+1 for the camping/amusement/group ride to be combined.

Camping: Let's pick a campsite that our sites will all be relatively close to eachother, and maybe if we register in advance as a group, we can get a discount.  :dunno:  And a site with some kind amenities would be nice. It might be worth seeing if the site has small cabin rentals for those that do not want to camp / do not want to carry the tent but still want to participate in the ride and park visit. Anyone agree?

Amusement Park: Hershey? Dorney? Anyone got preferences? I'll do either, or, or neither. I am in it more for the camping, meet n' greet, and group ride  

Group Ride: The tour is going to have to be up to someone else, this is one part I can't help with much. I don't really know the area. I think Jace did a great job, but anyone else care to add some input to add? A completely different one? Obvously, it will have to be in a circular formation and lead us to and from the campsite.

I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding this June as well, but I'm not positive on the date yet.  

I have to agree with Rich that I am in this more for the camping as well, so if we didn't do the amusement park thing I wouldn't be heart broken.

But anyway, like last time I am getting super-excited for this...and YAY for adding another girl to the group!!

Definitely count me in!! (And I won't make ANY other plans that weekend either)  :lol:

I'll look into some campgrounds near Hershey and post my findings for input. I don't really wanna do Dorney Park since it's so close to home for me, although I haven't been there in years and they do have some cool new rides/roller coasters I'd like to go on. I guess it doesn't really matter, as long as we ride and hang out. Let me know which park you all prefer and I'll find some campsites for us.

P.S.-Jace I liked your ideas... once we know which park we're going to (or none at all,lol) I will see if I can plan out a route for us using the roads you mentioned, since I'm familiar with them, if that's cool with everyone? Just let me know how far (miles) you all wanna ride.
