So i'm looking for an upper fairing with a windscreen, but all of the ones I've found in the searches arent exactly what I'm looking for. I'd like to swap out the headlight (but not the small duals and a buell screen) and have fairing mounted mirrors. Is there anything that's going to fit semi-well? Like I said..I don't mind making things fit, but if there's a recommendation.....

Bought my exhaust...two bros carbon fiber...when I get it on, perhaps this weekend (most likely thanksgiving time) I'll take pics and sound clips...

Awesome  :thumb:

How are you going to get it on there, hack off the stock and weld it on? Yeah! I bet it will sound good. Do what I did and get a sound/video clip while actually riding it. I think it sounds more accurate than just revving the engine in neautral.

Yep hacking and welding it'll be a good project for my dad

4 piston caliper from a CBR600 F3.  You will need to make an adapter plate (machinist friend).  Some stainless steel brake lines and sintered pads and you will have some good stopping power.

So my pipe is on, my dad made the flange and part of the pipe out of an old swing set (apparently he made my swing set out of exhaust pipes...dont ask) Its a carbon fiber Two Bros for a cbr600, it gave it a very throaty deep grumble when it idles but when you rev it, it perks waaay up. I was impressed. A sound clip and better pics will come soon, I promise.

So...what do you think?

That looks great! Very sporty. Now get some clips!! :)

You might be a redneck if you have a swingset made out of exhaust pipes  :P

I miss Albany and Saratoga... a lot  :( Only redeeming part about LI is the ocean :P

So many good roads I used to take at... well naughty speeds in my car!   Hopefully I can get a weekend off and visit my friend in Washington County and cause trouble on the way back ;)

Modifications... Change to a set of S-M bars or what Srinath makes... I have Superbike bars on mine and it gives less of a sit up and beg stance to your riding.  And footpegs!  Get a set of used CBR F2/3 footpegs and modify them to fit your bike.  They weigh a lot less, and again, puts your riding position more towards sport.  I had to change back to the stocks though... my legs were too damn long for the different foot position :(

SV chain guard, might want to check out those frame sliders if you get your bike repainted...

We can do a great job at spending your money!

I wanna hear some sound clips  :thumb:  Just make sure you do them outside, garages tend to botch the quality.

I'm all the way up in NB (right next to maine.. lol) and I've never put it away before mid december.

So here's a slightly better pic, but not really because my lil bro is taking them from his phone, as I am far away.

There's one tiny detail that hasn't been completed yet..can anyone pick it out?

scratch

The exhaust actually mating to the header by the footpeg.

Chain adjuster bolt bent.

Axle plate on backwards.

Its all welded, the bike is running really lean though so it turned it dark from the heat

Apparently I haven't really looked at that and haven't messed with it...is it? :dunno:

There's something else missing when it comes to the exhaust

Bingo! Right now Its held on by an oversized O-ring off some tractor, Have yet to weld the bracket onto the frame for the strap

They both look like what I stated.

ok...so to date I have:

New exhaust
K&N Pod
federectomy
Buell turn signals
Stage 3 Rejet

But Now I have a problem. The bike goes like a mofo, even power wheelies in 1st gear with the stock sprocket (I wasn't expecting it to do that so no lectures!). But from an idle till about 2500k it has a dead spot, can't for the life of me figure out what it's from. Any suggestions?

Alphamazing

It's the pod filter. I posted some physics about it in a thread earlier.

There. Have you done a dyno run yet? The stock bike is very rich in the upper end, so I'm interested in seeing the air/fuel mix now that you did a stage 3 rejet (bumping the mains up a lot, probably).

I have that same flat spot after a stage 3 rejet and filter swap to a K&N lunchbox.  Kinda sucks that there's not instant pickup from a stop without revving up first, which results in the front wheel lifting when you dump the clutch.  Makes low-speed, low-rpm cornering and parking lot maneuvering more "fun", too.

Lemme know if you find a way to fix it, nothing I've tried has worked.

I can't believe your bike power wheelies in 1st gear.  With a 15T front sprocket, I can't even get my front-end to feel light.
