I had a rear shipped that way recently and it has been fine. I wouldn't worry.

Do they ship those in white strapping?

They ship all kinds of tires in that strapping, bikes and cars.  I wouldn't sweat it.

My front and rear tires arrived taped together in a few places with a shipping label stuck on :thumb:

I bought a set of 205/50/15 tires for my Neon and they came that way.  Two tires banded together then shipped.  These Dunlops have a really nice thick sidewall though so no marks was made on them.
