block out moisture very well. comes with life time warranty.

size medium is perfect for gs but you probably want to get a large for a sv

I bought one of these for my girlfriend's 450 nighthawk and we love it. Completely waterproof, pretty cheap, heat shields, has neat vents to beat condensation, and a soft inner front to prevent scratching up windshields. It doesn't pack up very small, but makes a great every-day cover nonetheless.

Bought a generic cover from Wal-Mart. $20 and fits the GS500E almost perfectly. Blocks out moisture well and is even heat-resistant.

Edit: There were two sizes at my wal-mart, I bought the smaller one.

That's what I did. Worked great for ~6-8 months and then it started falling apart. This was before I had a garage so the GS was left in the parking lot and had to deal w/ a rainy winter and most of the summer. The soft lining on the inside just started falling off... every time I took the cover on or off it was covered in pieces of white lining... For $20 it worked, but you'd be better off spending a few extra bones if you want it to last.

When my father and I drove to North Carolina we had one of those Nelson Rigg covers, I think. By the end of the trip it was absolute junk. Torn apart at the edges and fraying all over the place.  Holes everywhere! However, we were going 70+mph for a long long time, as well as going through the elements. There is a GSX-R on campus with one on it and I've yet to see any defects with the cover. Just don't drive with it.

Oh come on, JetSwing, we were hauling the Fizzy from Austin to Deal's Gap. That's a long way. Better the cover go than damage that gorgeous bike!
