So, every time it rains, i get water in the speedometer and the tach.  LIke... enough water to fill a thimble or two.

How does one go about alleviating this problem?

Roadstergal

Clear marine silicone sealant.  Beats the crap out of duct tape.

cheesy

or with a cover..

that's wierd.. I never had that problem.. course it was never in the rain either

Bah!   :)

My '04 never got water in the gauges when it rained.

Phaedrus

I don't get water in my gauges on my '04 F either.

Reminds me of a joke (adapted)

Q: What do walruses and motorcycle gauge clusters have in common?
A: They both like a tight seal.

Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

They are equipped to get in and drain out plenty of water ... but I'll second the stock seals ... but a set ... surprisingly you can still get them ...
Cool.

I never had a problem with rain in the '92 or my '04. I'll third that seal set. Either that or what RG said. It's a cheap fix either way. No biggie.

My neutral light is half-filled with water.  No other guage, just that one indicator.  I think it might have happened the last time I washed it.

The light is still working fine, but it doesn't seem to be draining/drying out either.
