Hey all,

I've been shopping around for gear for my new GS-500. I bought a Joe Rocket Meteor 5.0 from Cycle Barn in Lynnwood WA, but it wasn't the color I wanted (and I paid $200!).

I was browsing around and see that newenough.com has them for $169, and I can choose the color I want.

However, when browsing around, I noticed that their 4.0 jackets were only $99!

What are the key differences between the 4.0 and 5.0? Am I getting a horrible jacket if I get last years model? I was REALLY happy with the 5.0, but for $70 less.... if it's essentially the same jacket....

What are your thoughts?

EDIT: Another thing I should consider is sizing. I know I fit perfectly into a 5.0's XL, but I dont know if it'd be the same for the 4.0.

Nevermind... I guess newenough is out of the color I want in the 4.0, so I'll just get another 5.0.

Meteor 5.0 is pretty new.  Meteor 4.0 is an older style.  Personally I like the fit of the 4.0 much better than the 5.0.  Textile fabric feels tougher too.

Heh, thanks for the bump, but I went out and bought a Joe Rocket Meteor 5.0 (in black/gray, to match my bike) quite a while ago :)
