seat side play

my seat pivots at the latch.  about 2 inches actually (measured where the seat meets the tank).   anyone else have sideplay?  what have u done to fix it?

There shouldn't be any side play in the seat.  Check that the pins in the plate attached to the seat are intact and are clicking into the seat latch mechanism.

Mine did too..it was latched in and everything but still moved...it was really annoying..I stuck a hunk of rubber on the tab that goes under the tank...that fixed the sucker

james, i checked the pins already and everything seems to be in order.  i even took apart the contraption and straightened all the pieces (from the crash..it wiggled before the crash). pastrana, i think i'll try your method.  thanks

Mine does the same thing I was thinking about velco.
