For those with 2001-up clear tail lights:

I recently received my Clear Alternatives Clear Integrated LED Tail Light and whenI got it it says it is for the CBR1100XX, and I know from this site that they are the same except for longer mounting tabs.

But when I looked at my light I realized that the whole lens wasn't clear. The whole bottom part is white, is there any reason for this, and is it on all of your tail lights?

the bottom part is white to better light the plate. the box still says cbr1100xx but it is for the gs500 and is the right length. dont worry about it-it sounds right.

Mine and BOSS500's came in the same way I guess it's to make the license plate light up a bit more white than red from the bulbs.
