So...  I was watching a bad show last night and they had a scene where everyone was saying how many times they'd been arrested.  Out of the six or so people, five of them had been arrested at least 4 times...  Then the "domestic violence" thread got me thinking more about it.

I'm not talking about convictions...  Just arrests.  You know... When they say, "You have the right to remain silent..."  You don't have to post if you wish to protect the innocent... and the guilty.

I've never been arrested as an adult...   ;)

I got arrested twice.  Once in college and once in grad school.  Both were a result of bar fights.  Both were false identifications.  And both times, charges were dropped against me.

That kind of sucked.  ESP the first one, where I spent the night in jail, knowing I never layed a hand on the guy, and was innocent.  That really sucked.  The cops treated me like I was dangrous b/c the guy had a broken jaw.

None.

Now are you going to ask how many times we've deserved to be arrested and weren't?

There's a Far Side that was captioned "Miranda rights."  The cop is telling the guy he's cuffing "You have the right to wear fruit on your head... you have the right to dance in PBS specials..."

Uh... No.  I couldn't even begin to count that number...

False IDs suck!  I wouldn't know though...  I was always the right person.

The second time I accidently dropped my drivers license and didn't know it.   So A-Hole found my ID and used it as a depsit on some pool balls, got in a fight, and left the bar.  The cops showed up and got my ID from the pool hall.  Viola.  Warrant for Jake D.

The newspaper said I was arrested and I did have to appear in court, and was convicted of disorderly conduct and possession of explosive devices, resulting in some fines and comunity service. But I was never handcuffed and put into a police car. Handcuffed yes, but thats a different story

I had a small run in with the man when I was 16... I had to follow the cop back to the station in my car, and call my folks.  But I wasn't arrested, read rights, handcuffed, or ticketed.  But they did take my beer, lol.

I've never been arrested, luckily. I have, however, had a few run-ins from time to time for various things. I was a mischievious little teeny bopper; did things ranging from drugs to fights to truancy to harassment..etc.   Luckily, I've grown up  :thumb:

I have been arrested once.  When I was 16 i was babysitting my little sister and she called 911 because i was going to make her go to bed on time.  She then bit me and hit herself with the phone, while on the phone with the operator.  The Cops came as did dad and the boy got arested for assault.  They looked at her record, very long (grand larsony at the tender age of 12) and the judge listened to both of us.  Looked at her and said i don't think for a minute anything you said is true.  He gave me a 6 month probabtionary period, cause he had to, and told her to straighten up.  Since that and the occational traffic violation I have been good.

my brother had to jump the back fence and somehow open the back door through the doggy door of my cousin's house when he was house-sitting and locked himself out.

the police handcuffed him to a neighborhood watch sign for half and hour while they figured out what was going on.

I was in prision for 7 years. It was a long time to think about doing something meaningful with my life.
After 6 months it started to feel like home actually, and 2 years or so later I kinda forgot about the stuff and life outside.

I never dropped the soap in the showers...

I'm the only man on my side of the family that hasn't done real jail time...  Turning 18 sure did change my outlook on crime.

I shot J.R.  :guns:

I have been detained, I have been cited, but I've never been Mirandized.

When I was sixteen, I was busted along some other friends with some home made PJ (wine + fruit + juice, etc). We were issued citations but released into the possession of a "cool mom".  None of us told our parents and thought we had gotten off with just a fine until 2 weeks later the local paper ran a front page article with the headline "Six Youths Apprehended". My grandmother called crying thinking I was in jail

I'm 17 now and I guess I should get cooking on some illegal happenings before I turn 18 if I want to participate in any lol  :thumb:  I've never been arrested though, me and my friends got chased by a Public Transit Official once though for throwing snowballs at a Public Transit bus... Man we hammered that thing, the bunch of us must have let atleast 40 snowballs go hehehe.

The closest I ever got to being arrested was getting a drunk in public ticket. That was several years ago. From what my friends have told me about that night, I jumped on the cop car's hood while he was driving it. When piggy got out, I tried to hide under the car, but I couldn't stop giggling. I guess I was pretty lucky to get away with just a ticket. :thumb:

Seen the old Simpson's where Marge becomes a cop and arrests Homer?

Marge: You have the right to remain silent.
Homer: I choose to waive that right.  BWWWWWAAAAAAAAGH!

Loses something in the translation, but still humorous to me.

I'm 19 and the closest dealing I've had with the cops was when my friends and I were going to play Airsoft (guns that shoot little plastic BBs. Like paintball, but closer range and less painful) when some lady called the cops on us and said we were "brandishing numerous firearms" in her neighborhood. We were behind bushes when we saw the cops come up, so I set my guns down (I had two Desert Eagle magnums to use) and came out of the bushes with my hands up. The cops went back and collected all our guns and set them on the hood of their car. 4 Desert Eagles, 2 Smith & Wessons, a rifle, and a P90. They lecutred all of us about being responsible and bullshit like that, but they couldn't do anything because we didn't come CLOSE to breaking any laws. Our guns were all spring powered, and by Texas law a firearm is gas powered.

One of the cops said he would have shot me had he seen the gun in my hand.

He was an ass.

We WERE being responsible, though. We were playing in an unpopulated area and wearing SAFTEY GOGGLES for effin' sake.

twice: once in a college town for open container where, if you lived more than one county away they arrested you so you had to post bail and they didn't lose money if you didn't appear for court.  the second time was with my gs :o   i pulled over for what i thought was a speeding ticket and before i could get my second glove off, my hands were cuffed behind my back.  how was i to know that he followed me through 4 miles of rush hour traffic going 90mph :dunno:
he is able who thinks he is able.
