On the flipside, there are also a lot of homosexuals and bisexuals who are in it for the "cool" and "fun factor". Lately, being homo/bisexual is the "cool" thing to be. It is trendy.  :dunno:

I don't see any real harm in it at all. I don't even see why it is an issue; I don't care who anyone is having sex with (with the exception of myself and my girlfriend). Everyone else, more power to you  

That is why I don't understand why it is such a big deal, even on the GStwin site, that many of our threads have to go in the direction of AJ's sexuality. Not because I am a jerk, but because I don't see it as a big deal.  :dunno:

I have had a couple of friends who knowing my sexuality decided that they want to experiment.  I don't think there's anything wrong with it :kiss: , it's part of life.  I agree that it's a loaded question and all that but let's make sure that we all know that sex makes the world go round and round.  I know of a lot of people who would rather have someone tell them that they are ghey than say that they are bisexual or what not.  I have some ghey friends that think the whole issue of bi is rediculous and you should pick a side.  I guess my question is why does everybody have to have a label and why do you have to pick just one???

Some people just hate because they have nothing better to do.

Who are you to judge anybody on what they want to do?  We were born with free will for a reason...I also don't think that you can be "ghey" for a couple days...I'm pretty sure we call that experimenting...

People need to realize that biological sex and sexual behavior are two different things. Sex in mammals is usually straight forward, a simple chromosome difference explains it. There are plenty of people with chromosome abnormalities that may be considered  intersex but lets ignore that for now.

Sexual behavior on the other hand is highly variable. If we look to nature for our laws, then homosexuality, bisexuality, polyamory, incest, rape, and necrophillia should all be considered normal. I'm not equating all these things a la Santorum, just pointing out that many behaviors that some people consider deviant are quite common and normal in the natural world. We shouldn't be surprised that sexual behavior is so variable, other kinds of behavior show similar variability.

If people want to dislike certain behaviors or condemn due to religious or moral considerations then that is their business. Just don't invoke Biology, cause it ain't on your side.

I would say your knee-jerk reaction against homosexuality is due to peer pressure.  The way in which you phrased it is telling.  It's a locker-room macho thing, not a "how do I really feel" thing.  "I don't fall in love with men" is a straight man's thought.  "I ain't a-gonna let no man have sex with me!" is a socialized person's thought.

You see all kinds of sexual behavior in the 'natural' world.  You have societies where the male is king and has a troupe of females; you have societies where the female is king and has a troupe of males.  You have sex outside of fertile periods for bonding purposes.  You have homosexuality for bonding purposes (bonobos).  You have masturbation (lower primates).  You have hemaphrodites.  Yadda.  You can't point to the 'natural' world to say that straight marriage and man-on-top is the way it 'should' be.
