So.

I get home in the early afternoon, from working 18 hrs on an emergency contract job.

I go to bed. So tired.

I wake up at 7:30 and my roommate says "you might want to check on your 250, some kind of white mess dripped out of the tree on it." :?

I go and take a look.

:o SOME ASS POURED CHICKEN/BEEF GREASE ALL OVER THE DAMN THING.  :o

:x
Oh and it was not like that it was someone PASSING by either. :x No no no. This was calculated. :x Had to have been, they took their sweet time doing it. :x There was no container for the grease, and the way it dripped, it would have had to have been HOT, meaning that it would have to be fresh, or re-heated, so they would have had to been close. :x They did a real real good job too. :x Oh yea, let me tell ya. :x They made SURE to get it into the ignition, all over the brakes (rotors and calipers), all up on the seat, all over the tank lock and they even LIFTED the tank lock cover to DO SO. :x They poured it down into the creases between the seat and the tank so that it would get into the battery and airbox, and they made SURE to get it all over the radiator and into about evey crevice so that I would HAVE to take the bike TOTALLY apart to clean it. :x

Oh by the way. :x I AM SO PISSED. :x It was obviously one of my neighbors that did it, they are already pissed at me for having my bikes parked in the street. They recently had decal parking instituted to try and screw with me, because it is maximum 3 decals per residence. 3 bikes and 2 cars = 5 decals. Little did they know that motorcycles are EXEMPT FROM DECAL PARKING HERE.

It is not like I am out there working on the bikes at 3:00am. Yet they still Buddha Loves You at me and tell me that I am making the neighborhood look bad. HOW? BY HAVING THREE MOTORCYCLES?!?! JEEBUS! Damn Brentwood Beverly Hills No Life Nit Picking Wrinkled Ass Bucktoothed Bad Breathed Crappy Starbucks Coffee Drinking Non Cultured SUV Driving Cell Phone Talking Rich Jerk Face Old Bitches with no life that have nothing else better to do then try and "improve" the neighborhood by picking on the ONE guy in the neighborhood that is different. I have never even had any loud parties or anything. It is not like I even have EVER left grease stain ONE on the pavement, and I always cleaned up EVERYTHING that I ever brought out to work on the bikes with me sans maybe a cigarette butt or two.

:x FSCKING EAT ME BITCHES! ILL BE TAPING YOUR ASSES NOW WITH A HIDDEN CAMERA! just LET me catch you. :x

Call the cops. That's destruction of private property. I'm sure someone will either fess up or have some evidence of grease.

That sucks, dude. Get a camera set up on a motion sensor if you can and try to catch them in the act, then sue their pants off!

But yeah, hearing that makes me want to smack the person with a wooden baseball bat. That ain't right, yo.

Well, I mean I will be taping them so that I can catch them doing it. Then I will be able to have evidence to show the cops and in court. This is not the first time that someone here has messed with my bikes.

Alphamazing

Some messes with my car every now and again. I've found it egged numerous times, covered in dish soap and laundry detergent followed up with a nice spray of water to get it to stick (that shaZam! eats up your paint) as well as having flour poured all over it, not to mention powdered sugar.

I don't know who does it or why anyone would want to. At least you have SOME idea.

Ugh.  That's a good idea.  But I'd still file a police report for this incident, so you have a record to which to add the footage.  When you bust them, bust them good.

What dickwads.

Already called the cops. They just told me there is nothing they will do about it. They noted it down. Santa Monica Cops suck ass.

this is an instance for the invention of something like the "auto mace sprayer" - someone comes within 5 feet of your bike and it lets out a cloud of mace or tear gas or something! You have a personal punch code or remote control and you can turn it off yourself.

Or you could have a motion sensor that activates a REALLY big scary dog barking sound. That way you could wake up or hear it when someone was near and dash to the window, camera in hand.

Sorry to hear about your bike Jomei, that's not right in anyone's books.

Well no big deal really ... just wash the bike in dishwashing liquid and park in a different spot ... that spot you have the grease on is now virtually useless, and who ever parks there will soon figure out it was a bigger punishment for them cos it will sit there and make it greasy for a good while ... and dish washng liquid will cut through that mess ... just dont wash the parking spot with it.
Cool.

Well, problem is, they poured it into everything, and they made a point to. I have to take the whole bike apart to clean the electrical system and wiring, the plastics, the airbox, the bike will not even start and it smells super nasty. Plus it is all goopy and disgusting. Now I have to spend a day stripping and cleaning each individual part. I tried soap and water, but the grease is not coming off, it is leaving residue.  I am going to need to use some engine de-greaser to actually get it off. I can not really park anywhere else, I have pretty much one spot where I can park all three bikes. I already tried hosing off the area, but it will not even come off the street since it is cold grease.

Sorry this happened. People really suck sometimes.

$140? That's not bad at all, assuming that thing works like it says it will.

I have the internatrix alarm, and the first one I got was defective, but their customer service is the absolute best. They worked with me and eventually shipped a new alarm to me, and that one works almost as well as my bf's Scorpio alarm. BTW, they shipped me the new alarm before I shipped them back the old alarm. They seem to be a small company with an interest in growing (and I don't own stock in them ;) ).

That really really sucks.  I would have been raging :x .  Most likly they are going to strike again after you take all the time to clean up you bike.  I would def set something up to watch over them, and then when and if they do it again sue the hell out of them.  Make them buy you a fourth bike.  And if they do it again, hell shoot for a bike for every day of the week.  I might look into that alarm, that would be sweet.  Good luck on the cleanup, and don't go hulk on thier asses as hard as it may be.

Jesus H. Christ! What little F**ks!!!! In my head I was imagining myself catching them and just beating the livng shaZam! out of them until the cops took me off.

NiceGuysFinishLast

Get a video camera, tape them, AND stay awake to watch them.. paintball them.. with frozen paintballs.. or an airsoft gun (soft my ass, those things HURT), or a BB gun... or a real gun if you've got it... That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that the people in your neighborhood suck like that... we used to catch crap for working on my friend's 79 vette, but nothing like that... whilst cleaning the bike, make sure to start it up and run it open headers for a good 10 mins, while revving high, just to make sure it runs right.... :)  :)  and when you catch the motherf*cker who would pull some  :bs:  like this, make sure you  :guns:  :guns:  him real good.. so a big  :nana:  :nana:  to whoever did it....

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

OK in that case just clean the air filter out of the box and the parts that will contact you when sitting on it, then run it ... at ldle ... it will heat up enough and run off every where else ... and do it in a different parking space not where you currently have the thing parked ... It should pretty much run off and cool and harden elsewhere. Its not that bad for the bike, its prolly going to prevent it from getting rusty as quick ... I will defintely not clean it without a trace off the ground ... leave it on the rest of the parking spots ...

where's my 20,000 volt charge for all the metal casing of the bike? I asked for this like 2 months ago.
Caturday yet?

Basically, I spent three and 1/2 hours and took the entire bike apart and nearly all the parts sans engine are soaking in two massive tubs that i got at home depot filled with hot water and degreaser. I dunno if I really explained HOW MUCH rancid grease it is. It was seriously about a gallon and 1/2. It was like they were saving it up, and it was/is everywhere. I think it is a combination of greases, because I found bits of bacon in there as well. The bike smells totally horrible, as do I. Bleh...! It makes me want to puke. Glad I invested in a box of surgical gloves now.

After everything soaks overnight, I am going to take the engine out of the frame and clean that as well. I sprayed degreaser over the entire bike. It does not start anymore, they messed with the electrical system and pulled on some of the wiring under the headlight assembly. I will have to trace all the wiring. I also noticed that they poured some of the rancid grease down into the water fill for the radiator and tipped some down into the exhaust when I was taking it apart.

:x

If it was JUST chicken grease.. it would not be so bad, but it is this rancid, nasty, dead animal rotting corpse smell that is killing me. I do not even want to go near the thing, let alone be knee deep in it.

RVertigo

That's seriously wrong...  Like you said, grease is just nasty...  I worked in a deli frying chicken...  But, saved up greases?  Then pouring it inside the bike and f%$king with the electrics?

This person is eagerly searching for a serious ass whooping.  :x

MAN!  I hope you catch them.   :guns:
