since i have 21st century, i called them and they qouted me $460 for 6 months.  that's only liability.  that's way too much.  i'm 24 and have a good driving record.  can someone recomend me an insurance company that won't rip me off?

My insuance company, Primmum, told me the discount is equivalent to that of someone with 3 years of flawless driving experience.

progressive seems cheapest in almost every scenario.

Not cheaper for me, state farm does not give a discount for taking the class.

Mine is about $500 a year with full coverage. Never know when some jerk might tip it over or something.

how old are you?  full coverage for me was almost $800.  that's too much for a GS IMO.

State Farm here, they gave me the discount for the MSF and I only pay 270 a year for full coverage.

I'm with state farm, on my parents policy still and they said there are no discounts for taking the class. not fair!

The local rep told me that they won't even insure you if you don't have the class under your belt.  Dunno; maybe it's a local thing.  But I don't care about MSF discount or MSF requirement - as long as they are charging you less than everyone else, there you are. :)

I'm paying $170 yearly for liability ($100,000/$200,000) with Dairyland County Mutual. I got a 10% discount (I think, something in that area) with the MSF course. 18 (when I signed up), male, no prior riding experience.

It cut my 6-month full-coverage premium in half, thus paying for the $100 MSF course with the first premium. I live in NC and have Auto-Owners insurance.

many companies (USAA) don't honor the MSF discount in certain states, mainly because the company gives a multi-vehicle disount if you are with them already for your cage...and it's cheaper that way. :thumb:
