After reading the forums carefully, I've decided that I want to get a Planet Knox Contour back protector (http://www.planet-knox.com/) but can't seem to find a place that sells them in the United States.

If you own one, or a similar one like the Knox KC2000 and bought it in the states, can you kindly post where you got it?

The forums seem to give high praise to the Knox Contour.  Additionally, it seems to be the only one that meets the CE EN1621-2 standard that I can find (referenced http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7625 and my own internet searching).

I'm eager to complete my kit before I go for my first ride in the hills.

Can anyone help with some info?

Thanks!

"The new Dainese folding back protector--Paraaschiena Ripegabile is made with a hard plastic tortoise-shell type construction. It has an optimum shock absorption capacity which easily superceded the tough test at the highest level, EN1621-2 LEVEL 2." It also has the added convenience of being foldable for storage.

The Dainese Wave 2 protector (a version of the Backspace) is CE rated LEVEL 1."

I got the Wave because it's the only halfway decent protector that fits.  Dainese has a list of retailers on their site.  Ducati Seattle around here.
