stripped carb drain screw

Anyone know where I can get a replacement  carb drain screw?

i'd think you could just try and find one at a hardware store that has matching threads.  I'm no expert when it comes to carbs, but it seems as if  that's not such a vital part of its operation, just so long as it doesn't leak. Plus ordering new would be like $3-$4.

Does it really need replacement? mine has the phillips slot but it's also a hex head.

i know where the dealers are... so no it didnt help.
cant get it from a hardware store becuase the tip is beveled to slide into the carb.  I guess ill call the dealer i bought it from see if they have anything.

OK wait a sec ... dont run out and do what davipu says ...
The housing (float bowl) is aluminum, the screw is steel ... I'll bet ya ... housing is frocked ... screw is OK ... BTW I can send you a few float bowls ... if you have a 89-00 bike ... on a 01+ bike bowls are so different the older one wont fit. Then you do what davipu says ... after checking what is bad and what isn't ...

its an 05.. the bowls are fine.. its the head of the screw, not the threads that are stripped, so i can only turn it with pliers till i replace it.  And I have till spring to find one haha.

i posted to see if anyone had an extra screw lying around or if anyone new of a good online site for ordering odds and ends like this.

Put a slit in it with a Dremel.  Total cost $0.10 plus electricity.  Just use a standard screwdriver from now on.

If you don't have a dremel, you have an excuse to buy one now.
