...my neutra light has been burned out since i got my bike over a year ago.  is it hard to replace?  looks like a total clusterfuck in the clymer manual.  can i buy the bulb at an auto parts store?

it's a 194 and it's not hard to do.  If you're talking about the GS there's a little cover behind the lights...unscrew it and you'll see the harness splitting up into several rubber caps.  I'd go ahead and replace all the bulbs while you've got it there and open.

Lots of places sell 194 LED replacements.  You could look into doing that...they'll last forever and they're far brighter and better looking.  I can get them if you can't find them and are interested.

Oh, and you should always leave your bike in gear anyway.

I pulled mine open the other day while I was messing with my tach (still busted) and my dash lights didn't look like 194s... The tach and speedo bulbs are 194, I know. The other lights didn't look like the tach/speedo ones... Maybe a year model difference?

I just did a brief search on here and found someone saying they were 194's...what'd they look like?  Snap a pic?  Were they like 194's but small?

They looked like they MIGHT be 194, but the tips narrow down. They kinda look like deformed nipples. Or christmas lights with fat asses.

Nah. I think (not gonna go outside and take my guages apart for a pic right now ) they look like a 194 at the base, and then taper off about two thirds to three-fourths of the way up and narrow to a little christmas light tube. I THINK.

if it was thensame size wedge as a 194, though, the leds I get still work.
