So, we have rain today in Berkeley.  Not a pretty day at all, off and on rain, sometimes a bit heavy.  Lots of people use motorcycles and scooters to get to work here each day.  There are two lots right outside of my building, free parking for motorcycles only.  Many days if you arrive after 9:30, you have to work to get your bike into a spot, the lot is quite full.  Today, 8 vehicles out there.  Two are BMW motards that I think would be there in a snowstorm.  One is a scooter.  Then you have my lil GS, an SV650, A Ducati Monster, a Honda Hawk and then some random cruiser thing.  All those fairing people just can't handle a little weather  ;)  Not to pick on you F riders too much....

Prolly 7 miles tonight, Pandy.  Then switch to the cage to get to the bar tonight.  As fun as it is to show up places in full armor, some people think it looks kinda silly and chafes while dancing

hey pandy, i'm like really close to san jose, so I could feel the howling wind in northern california too.

it was a fun ride... all 35 miles commute, except I was getting blasted left and right all the way. darn small hills  :x

funny, I saw no other bikes on highway 99 today (parallel to I-5). chickeeeenssss!!!  :P
Caturday yet?

Riding 365 in Cali(Southern) or Florida would be great.  But in the North, the thought of two wheels and unsuspected ice is not fun.  Sometimes you just have to give up and not ride for a month.  The freeze thaw is nasty around here.  Could be fine in the morning or midday, but when it drops to 14 before you make it home from work, kinda leads to an a**puckered ride home.  Just glad it's only a couple months here in Delaware at least I get to ride april to december(usually).

Well, after the 7 mile commute.  The wind and the rain don't bother me too much.  The wind wasn't too bad.  My jacket was great.  It's a TourMaster, not sure which model.  It is pretty water resistant and with the liner in, is pretty much water proof.
Definitely need a glove upgrade.
I have First Gear Sport pants.  They make no claims about being water proof but do a damn good job.  The only rough spot, the crotch, where they are cloth.  Yeah, that's a fun one to discover.  Yipes!
And, alas, water loves to go into the top of boots that have pants tucked into them.  I'm really impressed with the way my Sidi boots have dealt with water.  They are pretty much water proof.  You just pay when water sneaks in the top.
So, need to get some better gloves and some water proof rain pants to pull over and I will be all warm and happy.

And the GS got washed....  All day sitting in the rain...  Poor bike....
