I love it when you go through a puddle of water and have to kick up both your feet to prevent your shoes/socks/ankles from getting wet. Judo Kick!

It was between 28 and 32F here yesterday.  I was pleasantly surprised about how well my gear kept me warm (keeping out the wind seems to be the key...and layers...many, many layers).  The problem is that once you start to feel the cold, you just can't shake it (or do anything about it).  I was out for a couple hours, and near the end was very glad I wasn't that far from home.  I'm not sure I'd want to put myself in a situation where I needed to spend an hour riding in temps any colder than that to get home.

Today we're getting the snow that's been hitting everyone else in the northern states.  I suppose it's about time...this will be the first accumulation of any significance we've gotten this year.

You can do something about it; you can turn-up the heat setting on an electric vest.  ;)    Makes all the difference.

When I first started riding and was hearing about the BMW's and their heated grips, I thought to myself, "Wusses!" Now I want some!! Waaah!!

It wasn't my core that got cold.  Quite surprisingly (at least to me) it was my feet.
