You would have to be high to bid on $1000 bars

They're pretty cool if you're into that crap...  But, paying $1,000 for bars is about as stupid as putting one of those shopping-cart "spoilers" on the back of your 1.8L car.

Haha, I agree. Some of those things are bigger than the freiggen car.  Or have you ever seen the front wheel drive drag cars w/ wheelie bars??

Or the front-wheel drive cars with bigass wings, for that matter.

A 1.8L RWD can need a wing - the Flyin' Miata Track Dog weighs so little and makes so much HP (high-pressure turbo and stroker kit) that it needs a wing to keep the rear tires in useful contact with the ground.  But a trunk-mounted wing like the drying racks you see out there would just bend the trunk; they cut slots in the trunk and mounted it to the trunk floor.

'cause if you need a wing, you don't need a trunk.   :thumb:

Still looks like a shoping cart...  But, at least there's a point to it.

Yea, its different when its actually a race car and not I love YOU's old corolla or something

Quote from: Chris861Sure they may be cool and all, but that price is insane!!! $1,000 and the reserve isn't met!!

That's insane, even for a handlebar for a Harley.

awesome foto of 'jay', RG.  but answer me this..  how can that huge ass spoiler be useful for downforce?  how fast would ur miata have to be??  what speeds?  i dont claim to be well educated on this subject but look at nascars.  they go, idk 200mph?  look at their spoiler. its like two inches wide and points up at like 45 degs. i dotn see how one of those 'drifting' wings help.

RIP RICH! We'll miss you buddy!

A NASCAR stock car weighs about 3500lbs.  A stripped Miata weighs under 2000.  And that one makes 350hp at the wheel.

To be clear - the Track Dog is a Flyin' Miata project car.  Jay is a friend of mine with a purple Miata with no connection to said company. ;)
