Haven't figured out yet if introductions are in order or not.  But I'm going ahead with one, anyway.

Took the MSF about a month ago and bought a 2000 GS500e the day after passing it.

Since then, I've just been riding around corporate parking lots whilst waiting for my "passed the MSF" paper to come in.

Sorry to say I've already dropped Possum (as I've chosen to name him) twice.  Well...laid him down gently.  Thankfully one of the former owners (as I'm the fourth owner...is this bad?) had also dropped it, so there wasn't any additional damage.

I don't have any specific questions (and if I did, I'd do a search first.  I at least know that much).

Oh, and I'm in Southern California (Redondo Beach, to be specific), where we can ride all year round.

And if you've made it this far, I reward you with a picture:

Nice reward, eh?...

WELCOME!

I hope you find a bunch of useful info here like I did.  I believe in asking questions even if the topics been posted b4.  There are new people to this forum all the time and bring new info with them.

Check out the FAQ forum as well.

I have a feeling you are going to fit in quite well here  :P

Nice bike. No, I don't think it is bad being a 4th owner. A lot of people buy the GS (and similar bikes) keep it for a while and then trade up. So some of them probably make their rounds. The bike doesn't care who owns it, as long as it is taken care of  :thumb:

The GS is a great bike, and this is a great forum. Everything is just great

Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Welcome to the zoo!

Nice looking ride.  I hope you have some bright gear to offset the visibility of "the possum".  :thumb:
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

"Hers."  You've got another chick riding a GS in your midst.

Yeah, I got me a solid red helmet and a red and white jacket in the hopes of being more visible.  Not taking any chances.

Thanks for the welcome...

Roadstergal

Oops.  I have the wrong receipt. :(

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Hey girl!  Welcome to the site...most of the people here are great...then there's davipu.  We don't know what he is yet.  You must have been lurking around a bit if you knew the search "rule" around here!

Nice to meet you and ride safe!

By the way, when you dropped your Possum, did you pick it up on your own?  I picked mine up once and that was only because my anger/embarrassment gave me the strength to get that thing back up!

Rich, we'll miss you, and never forget you. <3
