hello all hi im the new guy around here been lurking for a long time been reading just about everything on here i could. this is my 2nd gs500 first one was an 89 with the cool clipon handles bars. im not new to bikes been riding for 13 years off and on. finally found a woman who could put up wiht me got married and then she said she wanted to learn to ride her own bike. being that the gs is a great first bike i found one local paid 150 bucks for it fixxed it up and started teaching her. well soon the modding bug bite and he bike got turned in a track demon stock front end was too soft removed replace with a zx7r front end took a lil machining but no big deal much better now uses a 120/70/17 front tire then the rear tire just would cut it so i found a bandit400 rear rim which is 4.0 inches wide unlike the stock gs/katana rear wheel 3.5 inches so now with the bandit wheel i can run 160/60/17 tires which makes it handle alot better for some strange reason soon its getting a gsxr750 rear shock then it will be complete im leaving the carbs stock for now she doesnt need that much power yet. i also included a few pics of my creation.

opps i forgot about adding the ninja 600r upper and gauges .

That is an awesome mutt. I like it  :thumb:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Welcome brother wrencher! There are plenty of skinned knuckles, gray hairs, punk attitudes, and happy cyclers here...as if you haven't already discovered that.  :)

To be sure, the GS is a great test bed for messing around with mods.

Yours look good and best of all, your better half digs it too. Congrats!

God save us from LED turn signal mods!

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.
