He's thinking: "If the bike starts to fall over, I'll be able to use my legs to stop it from falling over." While he's moving...
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

How about the new ZX-14?  'Busa killer?

I do agree that a solo seat with a seperate passenger pillon looks better.  Did I use that word right?  But I wouldn't base the purchase of my first bike on that alone.

Naw, he just didn't want any of his buddies too close when giving them rides.

And is horrifically uncomfortable for the passenger.

I've seen the foot-dragging thing on a guy on a ZX-6.  Don't ask me WTF he was thinking.  It reminded me of how Verbal Kint walked in The Usual Suspects.

Alphamazing

Oo, I just saw that movie last week, RG.

Wait, how fast are these guys dragging their feet at? I keep mine down sometimes if I'm doing slow speed stuff in parking lots or similarly low low speeds.

If you meant "pillion" then yes.

The guy I saw was riding on a surface street, about 30-40, just dragging his feet as he's riding in a straight line.

My friend has an RC51 and wow is it ever fun to drive, but it's way more power than I want right now, I'm thinking of moving on to an SV650 if I stay in ontario or a Triumph Daytona 650 if I move some province with lower insurance...

I talked to my neighbour who has a Katana.  I thought I'd introduce myself since we both have Katana's.  He's been riding for about 3 years.  It's funny cause I used to watch him take off with both feet dragging till he got going.  Anyway I was talking to him an he wants to get a Hayabusa.  I think, OK that's cool, I say "yeah those are nice"..  then he says "yeah, I want to be able to pull wheelies in any gear".   :?  I look at him and he's totally serious like this is a normal way to ride a bike.  the guy is married and has 3 girls all under 12 years old.  I mean, I have two girls under 5 and sometimes I think about that but I take safety pretty seriously.

What are people thinking?

Quote from: Roadstergal...Squids go for the inline 600s and sometimes SV650s...

squids go for the inline liter bikes before the 600's. they opnly get the 600's when they're talked into a smaller bike. rarely sv's though.

The squids around here are mostly on 600s, from what I see, and I'm guessing that's why.  I do see squids on liters, but far fewer.

Most of the "streetfighters" and "custom paint" and otherwise hmmm... I-4s that I see on Seattle CL are 600s:
