I was 16 had just gotten my RM125 for chirstmas....was out riding it to get the feel of it. 3 miles down the road(dirt) the thottle stuck and I panicked. As it was in complete control now and headed for a prickly pear cactus, I jumped, sprained my ankle and buised my hip. Bike crashed into the catus, the cactus must have hit the kill switch, cause the bike shut off.

Funny this about same place I bucked off a horse earlier in the year.

Never had any trouble with bike after yet. Was my ride back and forth to high school. 6 miles of dirt roads and 11 miles of paved.

Loved that thing....

I was 25, put my Yammy DT200 into the front guard of a car and went over the bonnet. I was only doing about 20kph.

Shattered my right wrist and had to get it rebuilt. Still got the plate and screws in there. I had 4 months off work and it took about 3 years before my wrist/hand started to come good.

I got some good scars out of it and chicks love scars.  :thumb:

first  crash was on a 78 yamaha 80 when I was about 13.  I had just put a new clutch in and was taking it for its maiden voyage.  took off up the street heading into a culdesac had on my squid attire (shorts, tennis shoes, no  socks, shirt or helmet).  reachhed the culdesac and reliezed the throttle was stuck wide open,  pulled in the clutch found out I hadn't adjusted it correctly so it did nothing.  bike had no front brakes,  hit the back brakes hard, the bar that hlds the hub from spinning broke.  there was no stopping or slowing to be able to turn.  tried to ditch the bike when I got to grass, I hit the ground pretty hard,  had some road rash, bruising and a few cuts.  the bike was destroyed.  when I went off, it was going to fast to fall.  It hit the side of a neighbors brick house at about 40mph.  twisted the frame, forks were U shaped, font wheel hit the jug and cracked it, tank split open.  rear shock mounts snapped off.  we carried the bike home pulled off all the good parts (there weren't many) and put the rest of the bike in the garbage
oops,  you'll need a new one of them

Day 1 of my riding career:  GS500 and I took a bin into a mulch-covered median in the Bryce-Jordan parking lot.  It was like crashing into a pile of pillows  ;)

Casualties:  Shift lever, bar end... and my pride

Falls in the 2.5 years since then... zero  :thumb:

without reading all the posts i'm gonna say mine was the most squidly(with much regret).  i was doing an ironcross (performed many times before) when i hit a pothole.  bike tipped left so i decided to bail.  hit the road at about 40 mph and tried to run it out hahhahaha. how many men run 40 mph?  so anyway, broken ankle (still suffering), road rash on knee, shoulder, entire forearm, and gouged my pinky finger down to the bone.  what was even dumber was that i had no health insurance nor did my bike insurance policy include it.  i never went to the doc.  bad bad mistake.  i truely regret ever getting on top of my seat and riding hasnt been the same since.  i hate the fact that i was dumb enough to do such a thing and now my bike looks like hell (well not really it actualy looks better now cept the dent in the tank).  ok signing off
