One of the NESBA control riders has a DL650 that he takes out.  The tires aren't up for it, though; they get squirmy in a morning, he said.  The DL1000 is one heavy M-F; probably about 500lb wet.

I wonder how heavy it would be stripped of all un-needed parts??

uhh dude that is an adventure bike.  thats like saying you want an R6 to go dual sporting in big bend or something.  if you want the suzuki 1k i believe that bike has a similar poower plant as the sv1k.  but that is not at all a logical choice for a dedicated track bike  :lol:
