Yesterday durring all the madness at the mall and as i was leaving around 6pm i was sitting about 6 feet behind this woman looking for a spot, she sees a spot open right next to her so she puts it in reverse and starts backing up... i see her and start trying to back up my bike and well, she was just in a crazy hurry and backed up rightr over my front tire.  it popped her bumper off and wedged my bike down forcing my to put it on its side.  i luckly jump off in time and just stand in amazement on how this woman didnt see me (i was directly centered behind her).  funny thing is, she opens her door and looks at me like its my fault.

anyway it didnt hurt my bike too bad, there was a small scuff mark on the front faring right under the headlight, my clucth handle is bent a little and theres some small scratches on various parts.  i was kinda worried that my front tire might be bent a little but im not sure how to tell.. i rode it home and it seems fine.. maybe im just a little paranoid.

she gave me her number and she said to call her if anything was messed up.. not sure if i should make her pay for a clutch handle when i can bend it back, but the scratches are something that wont go away... what would you guys do?  its christmas time so i feel bad because the damage is not major and i know money it tight with some people around this time...

Get a police report pronto!  It's always best, best, best to get one right at the scene.  Otherwise, the person can just deny it later.

Get your bike looked at at a shop to make sure the wheel is true and there isn't more damage.  Get everything fixed on her insurance.  Suppose there was a kid behind her?  People need to be responsible for what they do.

Although it may be inconvenient u should have had the police come out and do an accident report, thus finding her at fault and then her insurance has to pay.

it was your fault...

Ditto the report thing...ALWAYS do it at the scene.

Once I was backing out of a spot at a tight hospitol parking...moved a total of 2ft when some doctor in an Envoy decided to drag his car across my truck.  2 friggen feet.  It then took him 75 feet to bring his car to a stop.  Speed limit in the parking lot is 5mph.

The guy gets out and acts like it's my fault and just tell him name and bye.  He's been trying to get me to pay for it since...

A police report would have taken care of things on the spot...
