Im a new member that just got a GS and I figured i'd go ahead and share some pics with yall.  It's in a stripped down track condition right now but I am working on it.  Im about to start getting into one of the harnesses I have to prepare it to go on the bike easier with some of the switches i dont want taken out..

I have the rear plastics but I am actually thinking of having my fabricator friend make me something custom out of tube alluminum that will take place of the plastic fairings and hopefully look very cool.  I plan on painting the bike black and gunmetal or black and bronze.  But first i need to get it street worthy as far as lighting goes.

I also got my new jacket in today and my helmet will be here next week.  I an completely excited to finally have a bike..

Sweet! Nice rearsets. How is the rear brake m/c held? Rear shock aftermarket?
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Wow. He really did skinny it down. Since it is that way, you might as well go the custom route. Get one of Airbrush's huggers, dgyver's CF tails, and make a bad boy custom ride. Sell off the stock stuff since the bike has gone this far.

OEM restoration work is slow and tedious. I am over a year doing mine, but then I do have a very demanding job.
-=Doug......   IT ≠ IQ.

God save us from LED turn signal mods!

the m/c is mounted to one of the crossmembers in the frame and the rear shock is a GSXR.

Yeah i don't think OEM is really what im looking for.  Im starting to think about the Dominator Twin headlights, one of airbrush's CF huggers and I did not know dgyver had CF tails??  I was thinking some alluminum tubing tails would look nice but i don't know if i will be able to get my friend to make me some since he is back in houston half way across the country and i don't plan on taking my bike there soon.

Still thinking about the Veypor dash but who knows.  time and money are the determining factors in this equation.

that's a slick looking gs...I'd built a frame that suppored the pillion seat and just say the hell with the plastics of bodywork in the rear.

And I like the steering damper mount.  I'm going to have to do that...been trying to think of an alternate mount for my EX.

yeah i liked the cross support styling of the ducati monster frame as an idea for the rear frame.  We'll see.  I also giving some thought to just making some custom fiberglass ones based off the factory plastics that maybe just look a little sleeker than factory.
