Welcome and Merry Christmas!

What kind of boots are you getting? Gloves?

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

...and i  already have two questions, when starting where should the choke be all the way up or all the way down or somewhere inbetween, and the fuel thing on the side which you can put resevour when needing doesnt have an off position but does something like pft what is that and is it safe to leave it on the on position. sorry, it doesnt have a owners manual or i would use that, thanks

FearedGS500

on the choke i start off with it at full then pull it back as it is needed (book says to keep it around 3k ) .. you buy the bike brand new ? or used .. eather way have you looked underthe seat ? thats where most of that stuff is stored .. on the new gs500 there is not off swtich cause its vaccumed or what not .. so just leave it on the on postion ..:) enjoy your new bike :)

thnaks alot, its an 2004 with 10000km so they didnt keep the owners manual, but thanks good to know i can keep it on, what doesnt that middle setting mean then the one in between on and reseviour. and i noticed on the chooke if you push it all the way down its like  clicks into the furthest down ponit, is that something special or just full choke

yeaa the choke clicking is normal full choke mine dose the same that middle setting they is is to just open it up .. dont remember what its for .. they just say to not leave it there cuz it will dump all the fule in to the carb and bla bla bla .. i just know its not good to do ..  :)

jeast

the"prime' setting is good for when the carbs run dry; say if u run out of gas or if the bike has been sitting for along time

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.
