Hi, I have a 2002 GS500.

I started the bike this morning,  she turned over and then died on me - this happens sometimes, but this time I had no lights - no neutral light and not a peak out of the starter motor or horn.  I have no mechanical skills really, I went looking for the fusebox but I cannot locate it anywhere.

I drove the bike about 120Km yesterday, no problem.  I did leave her out last night uncovered, it was a cold wet night but nothing extreme.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Alan

Your bike comes with a single 20 amp main fuse which is on the left side of the bike next to the starter relay - If memory serves me correctly, it's bolted to the battery box.

You might want to see if the fuse is blown.

ALSO** When was the last time you charged up your battery?

Since you have NO lights I'm going to assume it's the fuse since even with a low charge on the battery you would still get enough power to the headlight to power it.

Keep us posted on what you come up with as a solution.

Hi, I changed the fuse and she's up and running.  Thanks once again.  This place is better than any dealer.
