well i started out my winter mods by painting the exhaust which turned out great.  my rusty header is practically poweder coated now by using PJ1 fast black "H" formula.  two cans later and my header looks new.

after losing my brake pads, i installed all new front brakes- a new (used caliper), galfer HH pads, a floated rotor, braided line, and just for the hell of it i tryed using an R6 master cylinder.  to my surprise, it bolted right up and even used the stock lever i had on my bike.  it works great and i didnt have to do any mods to get it to fit.

afterwards, i had no mount for my mirrors since i have a dirtbike clutch setup, so i used teh mirror mount from the old master cylinder and rigged it up to the R6 mount.  my brakes are fookin awesome now...just as good as my zx6r was.  this is a great mod and all together it cost less than $50 with all the banjo bolts and everything.  heres some pics of everything:

btw if anyone wants write ups on how to's i will put one together.

Floating rotors aren't solid.  Example:

The contact surface is connected to the center via rivets.  This allows the use of a lighter material to suspend the disc.

This is a solid rotor:

saving them as spares.  i'm going to do a somewhat scientific compariosn of pads to see which ones actually work better under my normal riding conditions.

Fast Black is the shaZam!! Painted my pipe, can and all with it.  Vance and Hines pipe, but this thing was pretty bad. Someone painted the can grey!

The moto bars look familiar too. I have grey KX bend bars on mine. 14 bucks!

Gotta love rat bikes.
