I've opened some threads, and the top posts are regular size, but the bottom ones are half the size.

I'm too lazy to get a picture online, but if you need one, let me know.

Here it is from the DONATIONS thread from PANDY
I captured the top posts which can be seen on the top-left.
Once you go down, the posts resize to 50%.
Also, you can see on the right side of the screen, posts go to the top-right instead of what looks to be a second page?? :dunno_white:

+1, I've seen that happen a few times as well John.

I just didn't want to complain too awful much the first day the site is back up and running. Hehe.

Nope, apparently we're equally stupid  :icon_razz:

Dyver has a pretty weird display problem too, that he posted about. I think that one is even weirder.  :dunno_white:

Does it happen with the blue/white SMF theme?  I wonder if it's a theme issue or browser issue.  Apparently Opera has issues with the new SMF board, but mozilla/firefox and IE should not have these issues.

Yeah I would have to say that is probably a broswer issue.  I user Firefox and I have never seen that behavior.

Browser?  XP?  building a case will help track it down.  Try switching to the SMF theme and see if it still happens.

Another thing to test is hitting F5.  See if that fixes it.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Looks like there's a point where the browser can be made small enough to cause it to have scroll bars on the avatars.  That's not really fixable,

Ok people, we are moving to Invision then. John will have the pleasure of transferring the database to a new script and make it work somehow...  :icon_razz:

try mozilla Firefox, it tends to render dynamic content better.

XP and IE... theres your problem.

Can you really expect to NOT see bugs using XP and IE?

You all need Linux and Firefox.  Or at minimum Firefox.

OK this is interesting.   With IE and XP I saw the condition shown above. I opened a different thread and got the same squished posts after masterind's.  No matter how many times I refreshed the page it happened.  I changed masterind's scrolling sig and the problem went away.  I wonder...  Sorry Masterind but no scrolling sig for you!

I have an athlon 900 sitting around.  How hard would it be to load linux on it so I can play with it/learn it?

You need to download 4 iso (cd images) and burn the discs.  From there if you know how to install an OS, and are familar with the UNIX filesystem its simple.  If your not to keen on either of those it will be harder, but not impossible.

I run a dual boot Linux Fedora Core 3 and Windows XP.  I can get everything done in linux except play my online poker.

For an Athalon 900 I would recommend checking the system req for Fedore Core 4 since that will have the latest hardware compatibility.

When you first start hanging out in linux you will be pissed off and looking up commands in a book every three seconds. Searching online, and spending an hour to do something simple like install a binary.  But after you use it, you realize its such a faster work enviroment.
