SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

No for me I have been around bikes since the early 70s. I just sold my 1979 HONDA CBX and the 1984 KAWASAKI 900 NINJA. Big / heavy $$$$$ to insure . Sold them and got new GS 500 F. Bikes I have at the momment are  SUZUKI DR 200 [ 2000 ] - SUZUKI GS 500 F  [ 2005 ] - HARLEY-DAVIDSON SOFTAIL STANDARD [ 2001 ]. Also working to rebuild a 1981 KAWASAKI GPZ 550 may keep or may sell. My normal job is CANADIAN ARMY but I have a small shop on the side. I have more fun on the 500 than the HARLEY [ I never thought I would say that ! ]
05 / GS 500 F / BLACK - SILVER / FENDERECTOMY / BLACK WINDSCREEN / LP CARBON SHORT STALKS / PAINTED - DRILLED HEEL PLATES / IRIDIUM PLUGS / CARBON TANK PROTECTER / SHOCK #6  / FITCH FUEL CATALYST / AIRBRUSH CARBON HUGGER / PROGRESSIVE SPRINGS / V-STROM HANDGUARDS / 137.5-62.5- 20 RE - JET / ?????

Yep first bike ever, and first time driving/riding anything with a gear shifter. So for so good! I love the bike and although the little kid in me wants to upgrade to something bigger, faster, and more likely to get me killed, I remind myself that just like Golf/Guitar (my other hobbies) new equipment will not improve my riding, golf game, or guitar playing.
Such is life

Catcams

Yep It is also my first bike.
I got another one, a Tl1000S
But I am still keeping the GS.
Fun, reliable, easy on gas, not expensive to insure.

My very first bike.  Only got it just a couple weeks ago.

...so is it a bad thing that I'm already plannign my second and third bikes?  :)

Borak: How come Ogg use one spear, Borak need three?
Ogg: Not spear, caveman.

yea, it's my 1st bike. I bought an '04 F & have been riding about 1 1/2 seasons. lost of people dream about moving up, but i'm in absolutly no rush. I love this bike: it's a complete blast. I'd rather keep it for a few more years and really learn and perfect my riding techniques. Eventually I'll move up, probably to a gsx-r 750, but not till this is completly paid off. I'd never sell or trade it in; this one's a keeper. once I get a new bike, this will be a perfect bike to get others involved as well (especially my gf!). It's a great beginner bike, and I'd feel confident letting her start on it as I did. plus it makes for a GREAT track-day bike as well!

my first bike as well......Love It  :thumb:, but looking to upgrade :(

The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
