Do you have a problem with the stock screen vibrating at high RPMs?  Mine used to vibrate when it was going down in RPMs in the low range, but I tightened the screen.

Now it vibrates at high RPMs?  Any Ideas?

Make sure you tightened it propperly.  Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.  Unless the whole fairing assembly is vibrating, the screen shouldn't.

Wobbling is a different story all together...but I didn't think it was long enough for that to be an issue.

Just take your fairings off, then you'll never have that issues!

Are you riding around in 1st gear everywhere you go?

But seriously, I can't think of a time when I've really had that problem. So follow Mak's advice and make sure everything is tight. And don't listen to Alpha, he is just a post whore.  :icon_razz:

There are 3 screws on the outside holding the screen, positioned in a triangle pointed down.  The bottom screw is simple.  The other two are like the bar ends kinda.  The screw goes through the rubber piece and the more you tighten the screw, the more the rubber expands.  I tightened it up, but reasonably.

On the inside, there are two regular screws almost near the top front two.  Again simple.

I know it's not the fairing cause each time it's vibrating, I can reach out, grab the screen, and it will stop.

Sorry Alpha...  But I prefer fairings.  I couldn't make my bike ride around naked...  All the other bikes would laugh at mine.  It's like that dream where you goto work completely naked.

tighten it more. the rubber should compress till the screw stops turning. you should be able to tighten it like any other screw. trust me, I've taken mine apart enough times to know they compress LOTS before they really tighten. I've lost screws that way on my side fairings before I realized I wasnt tightening them down enough.

The problem with tightening them is that if they're too tight, the rubber starts to "curl up" instead of sitting flush with the fairing.

Mine doesn't rattle, and I'm missing two of those stupid rubber screws.  I'm planning on getting new ones in the spring, but it hasn't been an issue...the screen seems to be firmly attached despite the missing hardware.
