SV swing arm

Hi i was wondering if any one knows if you can mount a 2000 sv650 swing arm on the gs with some but not too intensive modification

My friend is gonig to be getting an extra and he was wondering if i wanted it

If any one know any thing about this mod info would be nice.

The SV swingarm is about 230mm wide and the GS is about 220mm.
- The frame or the swingarm would have to modified.
- Bushings would have to be made.

The SV shock is off center to the left (typical of a v-twin due to the rear exhaust header) and the GS shock is centered.
- Not sure how to overcome this.

^ditto.  Not going to be an easy swap due to the suspension.  Machining and actually fitting the arm would be easy, but you'd likely have to flip the arm over and run it upside down and invest some research into shocks direct-connect shock options and custom mounts on the frame.

...that's not to say it's impossible, just saying it will be hard.

Very flattering and a little scary. 
Knowledge sometimes gets expensive. I do buy a lot of stuff hoping that it might work but I hold out for the great deal (aka cheap). There are boxes of parts waiting to find a new use. I dislike selling something because I will need it right after it is gone. I bought the SV swingarm to test fit the huggers to. I did look at fitting the SV swingarm on the GS but I will be installing a 04 GSXR750 swinger instead. The frame is going to be modified with new mounting plates since I will be using the GSXR pivot shaft. I am going to need the strength.
