Valve Job Problems

I just got done doing my first valve adjustment on the bike, and by the looks of it the previous owner never did.  During the change I had to loosen up the cam caps to help remove the shims.  Every thing went together well, but when I start it up, the engine will not rev up.  My first thought is that it is low on fuel.  I opened up the cap and looked at the level with a flashlight, and it is about ½ way up the drain tube.  So my next thought was one of the cylinders was not firing,  When I take the right plug out and turn it over there is good spark but nothing happens.  When I take the left plug out I have great spark and the engine starts right up and it tried to rev up before I turned it off.  It seems to run better with the left side out.  The plug is wet so the cylinder is getting fuel.  Any ideas on what is wrong??  Thanks for the help, the form is great and most problems I find solutions to just searching old posts.

Sounds like the left spark plug is not getting enough juice. Make sure the plug wire has good contact at the coil, it could have pulled loose. I had this problem once and figured out that it was a corroded connection in the wire harness between the ignition box and the coils.

That was one of my thoughts but there seems to be great spark when the plug is pulled.  I'll have to try switching the wires and plugs to see  if that helps.

A wet plug is from lack of enough spark or a valve being left open.

Sometimes the quality of the spark from a pulled plug can be deceiving.
