Hi all, I just got a new 05' 500.  I love it so far!  Its my first bike and it seems so easy to ride!!  any tips for a newbie on maintenance or anything else?  looks like a great forum here : )

Advice on maintenance, look to the FAQ (frequently asked questions ) section on this board.  Then try searching for any other answers with the search function.  Then feel free to ask.

Take the MSF course too.  There is some maintenance 101 in the class.

Search 'oil level' to learn to check your oil weekly (maybe search 'check weekly').
Search 'lube chain' to learn about lubing your chain, include 'adjustment' for chain adjustments to extend chain life.

Actually, if you just go to gstwin.com and look at the main page, there are maintenance how tos as well as gstwin.variriders.com or gstwins.variriders.com... I can't remember the site, but I'm sure Phae will chime in soon! 'Grats on the bike!

That sounds like an accounting class... Good inspections and a well oiled chain.
